ARGGG

Still waiting for the kiln. ARGGG This is so frustrating. I feel like I'm chasing my own tail. Which is very amusing when it's not me doing it.

Called Tuesday and was told it didn't ship Monday. But it was in electrical. If it didn't get shipped Tuesday, then on Wednesday. The snow might hamper UPS doing the pickups.

Wait. Wait. Wait. No email on Wednesday. Wait. No email on Thursday. Wait.

Called. Don't recall it shipping. If it hasn't shipped already, it will ship today. Sound familiar? More waiting.

The dilema is to cancel the order since I was told 3-4 weeks back in October. It's now 12/19 - 7 weeks into this. If I had been given a more accurate timeline, I could have been prepared. Now it feels like all lies. Or at least misrepresentations.

I am intentionally not mentioning the kiln company or the retailer.

FRUSTRATION!!!!

I was told 3-4 weeks from the retailer for the kiln, but giving the misinformation that they have been getting them out quicker.

My hopes were raised, and then thrown down to the ground, breaking into a million little broken bits. Yeah a bit dramaatic. But I was hoping to get the kiln in time to work on some Christmas gifts.

I was patient since we had Thanksgiving and Veterans Day since I ordered the kiln. I thought I would give them some slack because of this. But not getting any response or common customer service was getting frustrating. So today, exactly 7 weeks since I ordered the kiln, after 2 phone calls and 2 email to Victoria Glass with no responses back, I called Aim Kiln directly. Normally I wouldn't take this direct route since I'm not very confrontational and don't like to make waves. But enough waiting! Aim Kilns said they don't know why this wasn't flagged earlier and they might have one there to send out on Monday! How much longer would I have been waiting if I didnt' call! So hopefully my next post will be that the kiln has arrived.

Cross your fingers.

Getting anxious

Here's the work area I built. I had the electrical run. And now I just need to get the kiln in. I ordered that at the end of October. It was supposed to take 3-4 weeks, but we are now into week 6. I get we had Thanksgiving in between, but I'm a bit annoyed that I haven't been able to get an answer as to when it will actually ship.

I decided to start this blog so I can record my fusing trials and tribulations. I guess this will take a bit longer to start.
